MESSAGE

Design for me is the sciences of the artificial as Herbert A. Simon characterizes. “Artifacts” to be designed for people include buildings, machines, software systems, as well as user experiences, social services, and educational systems. Design problems and solutions coevolve, and the parts and the whole of an artifact to be designed codependent on the each other. Those who engage in such design tasks need to have the understanding of the perceptive, cognitive, and social nature of human beings, the skills and creativity to imagine and simulate potential futures to be, and the passion and desire to make the world a better place to live.
