Our world has become safer, more comfortable and convenient thanks to technological innovation in various fields such as information, medical care and energy. Around us, however, there are unknown and amazing worlds that have not yet been developed by humanity, such as the universe, deep sea, and deep underground.
In this theme, regarding "beyond the frontier of humanity", we will design and discuss reasons for living there and ideas to live there. Let's enjoy designing by stretching ideas, not being caught by the stereotype of the world we live in. We welcome people with diversified expertise and interest in any field such as liberal arts, science, engineering, arts, and sports.
This workshop will proceed in three major steps.
- STEP 1: Visit places reminiscent of “beyond the frontier of humanity” to discover needs and create ideas through experiences
- STEP 2: Materialize our ideas by brainstorming etc.
- STEP 3: Produce and verify the prototype of the instantiated ideas
- Learn the ability to discover the potential needs of the society
- Cultivate creativity and idea for inconclusive condition
- Learn the process to embody ideas from limited information
- Collaborate with various experts and experience solving problems
