情報ネットワーク

通信ネットワークとそのアプリケーションに関わる技術が社会のシステムやアーキテクチャのデザインにどのように寄与するのかをお伝えしたいと考えています。情報の送受を担う通信ネットワークは社会システムやアーキテクチャのベースであると言えますが、今後ますます複雑化する社会においては、単なる情報の送受では不十分であり情報の価値の共有が求められます。従って、これまでの通信ネットワーク技術を単純に適用することは困難で、様々な分野で研究されてきたデザイン学の理論や方法を取り入れ、融合し、展開していく必要があると考えています。

It is basic in our daily life to send and receive information each other. In this sense, we could say the system of communication networks and applications is one of the most basic infrastructures in our society. However, as our society becomes more complicated, it would require something more than just sending and receiving of information: sharing of value extracted from information. Therefore, to design communication networks and applications toward our future society, it is time to introduce, integrate, and develop the `Design’ theories and methodologies discussed widely in many research fields.
